Drug ring suspects due in court

Several people accused of being part of a methamphetamine drug ring will appear in court in Waitakere and Queenstown on Friday.

It follows a five-month police operation and a number of arrests, inclusding that of a man arrested at Queenstown airport carrying methamphetamine valued at more than $20,000.

Detective Senior Sergeant Malcolm Inglis says the drugs appear to have been shipped to Queenstown from Auckland, where they were made.

Police do not believe they have found everyone involved and are still looking for the manufacturer.
