Large scrub fire near Ruakaka out

Firefighters have extinguished a large scrub fire near Ruakaka in Northland.

The Fire Service says four pumps and a water tanker were being used to fight the 100-square-metre blaze which was brought under control just after 3.30pm on Wednesday.
