The Unite union has confirmed a SkyCity worker found carrying a bible will not be disciplined by the company.
Tuni Parata, an employee of 16 years, was due to face a hearing after being found with the pocket-sized bible in the toilets.
The company said it was a breach of uniform regulations.
But it changed its position and on Wednesday morning said there would be no disciplinary action and Ms Parata would be free to carry her bible.
The union says a meeting took place on Tuesday where those terms were confirmed.
