The mother of a missing Hamilton woman says her disappearance is every mother's worst nightmare.

Rae Portman, 33, also known as Bok, has not been seen since she checked into an Auckland motel in the suburb of Mt Albert on 20 June this year.

She checked out on 21 June, but left her belongings there.

At a police news conference in Manukau on Tuesday, Rebecca Norton appealed to anyone with information to come forward and revealed that her daughter is four months pregnant.

Detective Inspector Mark Gutry says three people have been arrested during the course of the investigation and have appeared in court facing assault and drug-related charges.

However, Mr Gutry says police believe none of the arrests have anything to do with Miss Portman's disappearance, although she has connections in the drug community.

Police are continuing to search for her.
