The new chief executive of Dunedin Venues Management, which runs the city's Forsyth Barr Stadium, says he plans to expand the stadium's use.
Forsyth Barr Stadium is forecasting deficits of more than $4 million each of the next three years.
Darren Burden, the stadium's operations director since 2010, hopes the facility can be used for more than rugby.
Mr Burden believes he can build on the success of the 280 events and conferences that have been held there over the last 11 months.
