Police in Northland are investigating the death of a cyclist hit by a milk tanker in Moerewa at the weekend.
The 14-year-old boy was riding a bicycle late on Saturday and emerged from a side street onto State Highway 1.
Police say he hit the front-right guard of the tanker's trailer, went under the trailer, and died at the scene.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
