Investigation into death of hospital patient

A doctor at Wairau Hospital has stood down after the Coroner began an investigation into the death of a patient.
Nelson Marlborough District Health Board chief executive John Peters says the board supported the doctor's decision to stand down.
No details of the doctor involved or the death have been released. Locums will fill in for the doctor.
