A man charged with murdering an Auckland security guard has pleaded not guilty.
Charanpreet Dhaliwal, 22, died of head injuries last November on his first night at work.
The accused, who has name suppression, appeared at the High Court in Auckland on Wednesday morning, where he also denied a charge of assault.
His trial is due to take place in September and he was remanded in custody.
