The cause of fire that engulfed a commercial building in Ashburton on Saturday is being investigated.
The Fire Service was called to the building on Range Street just after 6pm to find the building well ablaze.
The fire took several hours to bring under control and the extent of the damage is still unknown.
There were several reports of explosions, but firefighters have so far been unable to confirm them. No one was injured.
