The 23-year-old was shot in the stomach outside a property on Eastland Road in Flatbush on 2 January.

Police say the man was standing by the road in front of his house late at night when he was confronted by someone and shot.

The man died at Middlemore hospital on Friday.

Detective Inspector Jim Gallagher said two men aged 25 and 29 have been arrested in relation to the shooting and are in custody awaiting their next court hearing later in January.

Mr Gallagher said a post-mortem will be carried out over the next few days.

He said they have located the gun believed to have been used in the incident and it has been forensically analysed.
