Road engineers were on Tuesday assessing a bridge in Wellington where a truck became wedged.
They say the truck with two trailers attached became stuck under the bridge leading to the Interislander ferry terminal at about 11.40am.
A large amount of grain spilled onto the road.
The bridge is being assessed, and police are unsure how long the truck will stay stuck.
They say there are no traffic delays.
