TelstraClear says a problem that delayed or halted internet access for several government departments, Radio New Zealand and several businesses in Wellington has been fixed.
An issue with a hosting server meant internet and emails were not accessible for the latter half of Wednesday morning but the problem was fixed just before 12:30.
A TelstraClear spokesperson says it took a few hours for all companies to come back to normal internet access but the backlog has been cleared.
