Man dead, another injured after shootings

A man is dead and another is in a critical condition after two shootings in Waikato.
Police say one man was injured when he was shot at his house near Matamata at about 11pm on Thursday by someone who who fled in a ute.
They say the Armed Offenders Squad searched for the person and found a man dead from a gunshot wound at another address.
Police believe the two shootings are related and are not looking for anyone else.
Waikato air ambulance pilot Dan Harcourt said the injured man was having emergency surgery.
