Safety standards defended after fatal fall

The company running an Auckland adventure park where a man died, is defending its safety standards.

Clifford Brabet was on a team building day on Sunday at Tree Adventures in Woodhill Forest near Kumeu when he fell to his death.

Company spokesperson Simon Moore told Morning Report it was not a particularly busy day and there were enough staff working to make sure there was proper supervision.

He said safety is their number one priority and the staff were completely devastated by Mr Brabet's death.

Mr Moore says they don't actually know how the fall happened and won't be able to discuss the cause until safety and health investigators have completed their inquiries.
