A man has died in a work place accident in Christchurch after receiving serious injuries to his stomach and chest.
Police say John Terence Hebden, the owner of JT Hebden Building and Construction, was injured while operating a machine about 1pm when the accident happened.
An ambulance was called to the workplace in the suburb of Casebrook, but the 64-year-old died at the scene.
