A person has died in a house fire in the Hamilton suburb of Claudelands.
Emergency services were called to the Brooklyn Lane property just before 12.30pm on Tuesday. The body is yet to be identified.
A firefighter was hurt when a ceiling collapsed, but his injuries are not serious.
A scene examination is being carried out and a guard will be placed on the property overnight.
