A 22-year-old Hastings man is in Hawke's Bay hospital after a serious assault.
The man was attacked near the corner of Karamu and Pattison Roads in Hastings, shortly before 11pm on Saturday.
He suffered a broken arm and head injuries and is due to undergo surgery.
A 17-year-old Hastings youth will appear in the Hastings District Court on Monday charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent.
