Police have issued warrants for the arrest of a couple accused of defrauding vulnerable migrants of over $50,000.
Ashneel Nand and Sunita Devi, who face a combined 50 charges, failed to turn up to the Manukau District Court on Thursday.
The Immigration Advisers Authority says Mr Nand faces 42 charges that include telling people he was a licensed immigration advisor when he wasn't and taking a fee for immigration advice.
Ms Devi faces eight charges.
The authority says the charges stem from the couple's involvement with three South Auckland companies - Universal Immigration Services, Global Immigration Consultants and NZ Visa and Employment Ltd.
