One lane of a west Auckland street has reopened after a gas leak.
Emergency services cordoned off the area near the intersection of Blockhouse Bay Road, Tiverton Road and Wolverton Street, after a major gas main rupture.
The fire service says the gas main has been shut off but a burst water pipe is still causing problems.
The gas company, Vector, says the leak was caused by a contractor hitting the gas pipe.
