Police in Rotorua will not investigate gravesite damage, believed to be vandalism at the weekend, because they did not receive any complaints.
About 50 gravesites in a children's section of the Sala Street cemetery were damaged with wooden crosses said to be broken and ripped out and pots smashed.
A pregnancy, baby and infant loss support worker in Rotorua says the damage looked like a tornado had rushed through the area.
Police say enquiries should be referred to Rotorua District Council.
