A woman charged with the murder of an elderly man and attempted arson of his home has denied the charges and will face a High Court trial next year.
The body of 77-year-old Peter Dixon was found inside his Manurewa home as it burned in February last year.
A 47-year-old woman, who has name suppression, appeared in the High Court at Auckland on Wednesday.
Justice Brewer set her trial date for August next year.
The woman is also facing theft charges in relation to offending at her workplace in the months leading up to Mr Dixon's death.
