A man has life-threatening injuries after being assaulted in a central Auckland apartment.
Police say the man, in his early 40s, was attacked at an apartment building on Hobson Street about 11pm on Wednesday.
They say another man has been arrested. Police say the men know each other and it appears alcohol was involved.
A scene examination of the apartment will be carried out.
