A missing autistic boy has been found dead in a swimming pool near his home in the Manawatu town of Feilding.

Police say the body of 11-year-old William Archer was found about 11.15pm on Friday.
They say he went missing from a family address in North Street.
Searchers had been looking for him since about 3pm.
The death will be referred to the coroner.
