A further motorcyclist has been killed on State Highway 6 near Haast.
The 55-year-old man riding the bike died at the scene after the crash on the Haast Pass, south of the township, about 12.30 pm on Wednesday.
Police say they don't think any other vehicles were involved.
Christchurch motorcyclist Steven Wayne Nottingham, 59, died in a collision with a campervan just north of Haast on Monday.
