Carers of missing autistic man fear for his safety

The carers of an autistic man missing for nearly a week say while there is still hope, they are very worried.

Lesley Kreibel, 55, has been missing from his home at Naenae, Lower Hutt, since 24 November.

IHC's Idea Services, which cares for him, says he is prone to hiding when frightened and could be anywhere in the wider Wellington area.

A spokesperson says Mr Kreibel has no ID, food, water or money.

They say if people notice anything out of the ordinary, such as clothes missing from the washing line or rubbish bins having been gone through overnight, the information could help police find Mr Kreibel.

Mr Kreibel is of medium height and build, with greying hair and a light olive complexion. He was last seen wearing a grey polar fleece, a white t-shirt, and black shorts and shoes.
