Governors Bay School on Banks Peninsula has inspired schools around the world to get involved in placing children's art work in hospitals and rest-homes.
The pupils' art will adorn the walls of Christchurch Hospital's Acute Medical Assessment Unit from 2 December as part of an effort to brighten up wards for patients and staff.
Their efforts have been noticed by the non-profit group, Rock Our World, which has now started a project called Art in Hospitals that aims to have schools overseas replicating the efforts of the Governors Bay pupils.
