State Highway 29 at Te Poi near Matamata in Waikato is completely blocked after a truck hit a bridge.
The crash happened at 9.45am on Wednesday.
No one was injured in the crash.
Police say the road may be closed for sometime as the truck is cleared from the road.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and use different routes.
