A woman in Dunedin is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a petrol tanker.
Police say the crash happened about 8.25am on the corner of Frederick and Castle streets on State Highway 1 in Dunedin.
They say the woman, in her 20s, was walking when struck by the tanker and is in a serious condition.
They say the serious crash unit is investigating.
