Police in Auckland are warning tradespeople to be vigilant after a spate of thefts from North Shore building sites.
Tools, materials and appliances have recently been stolen.
Police say workers should make sure their tools are in a safe place.
They are also advising homeowners and project managers not to get appliances and other valuable items delivered until the property is at a stage where it can be locked.
Police say they are trying to establish if the thefts are linked.
