Five people have been injured, some of them seriously, in a multiple-car crash on State Highway One north of Auckland.
Police say the crash happened at about 5pm on Saturday in Dome Valley.
The road is closed and diversions using State Highway 16 are in place.
A St John Ambulance spokesperson says two people had to be cut out of their vehicles and are in a serious condition.
Three others are being treated for moderate injuries.
