A 10-year-old girl who went into anaphylactic shock after being stung by a wasp has been airlifted to hospital from the Marlborough Sounds.
The girl was stung on her head by a wasp and the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter was sent to the location at Linkwater.
The onboard intensive care paramedic assessed and treated the girl at the scene, and she was flown, along with her mother, to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim.
