The man charged with assaulting a man who died in a central Dunedin bar in the early hours of Sunday morning has been remanded in custody until next week.

Stephen Anthony Fernyhough, who is 25, appeared in the Dunedin District Court on Monday, facing a charge of assault, and wilful damage.
Ryan John Court, who was 35, died after being found unconscious in the toilets of Dunedin's Craft Bar.
The police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Craft Bar on Sunday morning, and saw a man leaving the toilet area without his shirt.
They earlier said there were about 60 people in the bar at the time of the incident.
The police spokesperson says officers are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
