A Norwegian tramper reported overdue near Queenstown on Monday night has been found.
Police said he was tramping with two friends on the Rees-Dart track, but separated from them and turned back after having problems with his leg.
Senior Constable Julian Cahill said a police officer who ran up the track to a hut and found the man, who may have stopped because rivers were high.
