Firefighters called to a fire in a Wainuiomata flat have found a body after the fire was put out.
The body is believed to be that of the flat's sole elderly male occupant.
The Fire Service said the fire early on Thursday extensively damaged the flat, which is one of a complex of six in Burden Grove.
