A light aircraft flipped when it made a forced landing in farmland near Ardmore Airfield in Auckland on Sunday afternoon.
The Cessna 152 aircraft came down just before 2pm after the pilot reported that the engine had stopped.
Police say the two occupants suffered only minor injuries and were able to get out unaided.
Civil Aviation Authority has been notified of the incident.
