Police have confirmed the body of a woman found on a Timaru beach is that of a missing local woman
Shelley Lurajud, who had impaired sight and hearing, was last seen on Tuesday afternoon when she set out from her home for a walk.
Senior Sergeant Mark Offen said the body was found on rocks about 11am on Thursday and police and Fire Service crews retrieved it.
Police are not treating the 43-year-old's death as suspicious and have referred the case to the coroner.
