A woman attacked and robbed while looking after her grandchild in a Manukau house remains in hospital with serious head injuries.
A police spokesperson said officers were called to a house in suburban Clover Park on Monday, where the 66-year-old was attacked while caring for her nine-month old grandchild.
The woman was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries sustained in what the spokesperson said was a concerning level of violence.
Anyone with information about or sightings of the attacker, who fled with a laptop, was asked to contact the police.
