Police investigating the death of a baby in the Hastings suburb of Mayfair are awaiting the results of a post-mortem as they try to piece together what happened.
Emergency services called to a house in the suburb of Mayfair yesterday morning found the six-month-old unresponsive. Attempts to revive the baby were unsuccessful.
Detective Sergeant Darren Pritchard said the family was co-operating with the police, and a number of people would be spoken to.
Mr Pritchard said one adult relative was in the house when the baby was found.
