South Canterbury motels are taking a stand against fishermen who they say get drunk, wet the bed and disturb other guests.
South Canterbury Moteliers Association president Maree Winter said the anglers came from around New Zealand and it had been a problem for years.
She said some motel owners now refused to let them stay, but with online bookings it was hard to know who people are.
