Thirty-five people wanted by the courts have been arrested in a police operation in Waitemata.
They appeared in courts throughout the district this afternoon.
The warrants for arrest involved a number of charges, including serious assault, failing to appear in court and breaching bail.
Eighty police officers targetted people in Waitakere, Rodney and North Shore.
Police said the transient nature of some people means they are difficult to find after the court has issued a warrant for their arrest.
Inspector Claire Humble said some go into hiding, move house, or give a false address.
