One person is dead and two others are in hospital with serious injuries after a car crash last night in Christchurch.
Police said one person died at the scene of the crash, which involved two cars, on Memorial Avenue.
Five others were taken to hospital, two with serious injuries.
A police spokesperson said one person was discharged this morning.
The spokesperson said early indications were that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
