A power boat being run by a rowing coach hit a skiff with school boys in it, on Otago harbour today.
Two of the eight Otago Boys' High pupils on board were injured.
One has serious arm injuries and is undergoing surgery and the other boy has moderate injuries.
The coach was also injured.
He apparently lost control of the power boat during training and it ran into the skiff.
Maritime New Zealand is investigating.
