The police hunting for Motueka man, Jahdai Brice Kennard, have recovered a firearm they believe belongs to him.

The police Armed Offenders Squad are searching for him after he confronted a group of people with a weapon in Thorpe's Bush reserve about midday. No shots were fired.
The incident led to an Armed Offenders Squad callout, and Motueka High School was locked down.
Police say Mr Kennard is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
