A 38-year-old man has been charged after police discovered more than 450 cannabis plants in a house in St Arnaud in the Tasman district.
Murchison police said the house was fitted with timers, lighting and ventilation systems.
They said it was a sophisticated indoor cannabis growing operation.
The man would appear in the Nelson District Court on 17 November.
