Police say a rollout of new speed cameras in Auckland has been delayed.
Six were to start operating in the city in the next couple of weeks part of a national rollout out of 56 cameras. They can monitor up to six lines of traffic flowing in both directions.
Police said they would explain the reason for the delay next week.

The first of 56 new police speed cameras has gone live in Wellington's Ngauranga Gorge. The new cameras will be installed at crash blackspots nationwide during the next 18 months.
The Automobile Association says new speed cameras should be signposted to ensure that drivers slow down. The rollout over the next 18 months will cost $10 million.
