Two people killed in a crash involving a milk tanker and trailer in Bay of Plenty have been named by police.

Bismon Xavier, who was 30, and Minoj Haridas, 31, were from India but had been living in Rotorua at the time of the crash on 28 December.
It happened when their car turned into the path of the tanker near the intersection of State Highway 2 and Wilson Road at Paengaroa, east of Te Puke.
Police were still investigating the crash.
