Police in Hamilton have arrested a man in relation to an attack in which a teenager was doused with petrol in the city centre.
Emergency services were called to Garden Place at about 6pm last night.
The 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital to be decontaminated, and had a wound treated.
Police said he had been in a fight with some other young people, and it appeared a group had been huffing - which would explain why the petrol was being carried around.
They said a 37-year-old man arrested over the petrol dousing was assisting with their enquiries.
Earlier, officers using CCTV footage to try to establish what happened said they had an image of a person who may have been responsible for the dousing.
