One person has been killed and six others injured in a crash in Bay of Plenty.
Police said a large truck, a small truck and a ute towing a trailer were involved in the crash on State Highway 2 near Whakamarama at about 7.30pm.
The driver of the large truck was killed, while the five people in the ute and the driver of the small truck all suffered minor injuries.
They have been taken to Tauranga Hospital.
Police traffic controls were in place while the Serious Crash Unit investigated what happened.
