The man charged with murdering 71-year-old Stratford woman Gwendoline Blake has today been named as her son, David Blake.
Mrs Blake, 71, was found dead in a house in Stratford, Taranaki, last Friday. She was a local marriage and funeral celebrant.
David Blake's lawyer, Paul Keegan, said his client was Mrs Blake's son.
Blake, 47, made a second appearance in the New Plymouth District Court on Monday morning.
He did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to reappear on 20 February.
