A 32-year-old Tauranga man has appeared in court, charged with murder after a hit and run incident.
The man from Papamoa, whose name is suppressed, has been charged with murdering 33-year-old Ilya Kojevnikov.
The details of two other charges were suppressed.
The 32-year-old will appear in court again on 18 February.
Investigating officers have been seeking witnesses or anyone who saw a black Subaru around the Welcome Bay Road area last night.
